Fidanza Says Goodbye to a Friend |
On November 20, 2007 our friend and co-worker David Vild past away unexpectedly. He was a young 41 years old. Dave was at home with his wife when he collapsed. The doctors say his heart gave out. However we know better. A heart as big as Daves could never give out.
In this life we are blessed to work with passionate people that share our love for cars. These people become more than just coworkers they become friends.
Dave Vild was to all that worked at Fidanza and to the many that knew him first and foremost a friend. His love for cars and motorcycles was contagious. His ability to fabricate something awesome from shear scrap was unbelievable. His love for his wife and his sons undeniable. |
Dave was with Fidanza since the doors were opened back in 1997. Before that he worked with the company that gave birth to Fidanza, Gran Turismo Jaguar.
To say he was talented would be an understatement. Dave`s knowledge about cars was immense. He loved to work on them and modify them. He was also truly gifted when it came to fabrication. It always amazed us what Dave could make from just his shear imagination. There was no need for fancy prints or drawings. Just the shear talent and insight of a gifted individual.
His boys will have plenty of fond memories. Dave was an awesome Dad. He was very proud of his boys and that showed in the amount of time he spent with them. They will always be able to reflect back on the huge amount time he took with them hunting, riding dirt bikes, playing guitars and drums and just hanging out.
As a husband Dave will be missed. His wife Mary Ann will never have to doubt about the way he felt for her.
For all of us at Fidanza we say goodbye to a dear friend. We were truly honored to know you and blessed to have been able to been able to call you friend.
The family has set up a fund for Dave`s children Karl (10) and Damien (13). Donations can be made out to the Vild College Fund and sent to US Bank. Attention Brian English, 9572 Mentor Ave., Mentor, Ohio 44060. They can also be sent to Fidanza, 4285 Main St., Perry, Ohio 44081. Please mark the envelope David Vild Fund. I thank you in advance for helping this very special family.

Titan Wins 2nd Consecutive Pro RWD Championship |
"We are very happy for Titans success this year and very proud to have our products on Titans incredibly successful Scion tC" said, Bob Scheid, vice president of Fidanza.
Titan has now won two consecutive pro rear wheel drive championships with their new tC drag car. This car debuted in 2005 and has had amazing success ever since! With 6.40 @ 220 mph quarter mile times, the tC is actually doing slightly better than its older sibling, the black "Flamed Celica". Each year Titan competes they make faster cars and get quicker quarter mile times. What will they be running next year!?!? Think theyll be in the low 6s? I guess well have to wait and see...

Titan Motorsports selects Gary White to Drive the Famous Flame Painted Toyota Celica for 2006 Season
Nero Delawala has made it official, the Titan Supra Champion, Gary White, has been chosen to drive the Black PRO RWD Titan Celica at NHRA and NDRA events. Nero stated, "Gary is getting more comfortable in the second car. His 6.70s in testing and semi-final finish at the Moroso event was a good start to the 2006 season."
Gary White, team Titan Champion in the famous Supra will take over the driving chores for the second race car. The PRO RWD Titan Celica, sporting fresh flames and even more power for 2006 is ready to contend for a Championship. Gary resides in New Market, Alabama and has been racing in the sports compact arena for several years. During this time he has managed to win several races in each of 2003, 2004 and 2005 while winning the Pro Street tire Championship in NDRA in 2004. Team Titan is extremely pleased to have Gary step into a quicker car. He has done a great job piloting the Team Titan Supra to many wins, championships and records.
Garys wife Cindy and son Brett, who also works on the race team, are consistent supporters of his racing activities. Gary advised he was extremely pleased with the opportunity for this transition to this awesome Pro Celica. "I want to thank Nero for the chance to drive. Also, Brad and Eric for showing me the ropes as these cars are very fast and have unique characteristics. It might look easy on the outside, but there is a lot going on inside the driver seat. Everyone has helped shorten my learning curve. Titan has a great team. Im looking forward to an exciting season in 2006."
